Kenton is HA3, north across the railway from Wembley, and the borough boundary runs straight through it, so some of these streets are Brent and some are Harrow. Regular weekly work at £23 per cleaner per hour and move out cleans make up most of what Monster Cleaning Wembley does up here. Half and half, near enough.
Two councils, one postcode
The boundary changes nothing about the cleaning or the prices, which read the same on the Brent and the Harrow side. Permit rules do differ across the line, so we check which council runs your street when you ring. Where a visitor permit is needed it is charged only then, at cost, as our terms set out.
The houses
Mostly interwar semis on wide roads, with more of them still whole than in HA0, plus a run of maisonettes and some newer flats near the station. Carpet upstairs and on the stairs, a bathroom fitted in the seventies, a kitchen fitted twice since. Carpet cleaning up here is usually two or three bedrooms and a staircase, so £36 a room and £41 for the flight, with loose rugs at £35 or £51.
Ovens come up often enough that we keep an oven slot free for Kenton, usually booked alongside a regular visit so the whole kitchen gets done in one morning. A single is £77, and a hob on the same visit adds £23 if it is ceramic or £28 if it is gas.
Weekly visits do well here
Regular housework is £23 per cleaner per hour weekly and £24 fortnightly, the same cleaner each time. Three hours suits a three bedroom semi and comes to £69, with ironing added at £12 an hour on top of those hours if you want it. Nearly everyone up here leaves a key with us, which suits us as well, because a visit spent waiting on a doorstep is a visit nobody gets any value from. It is the steadiest work we have.
Limescale, again
Same very hard Thames Water supply as the rest of Wembley. A weekly visit keeps it down. On a house we only see once, the screen and the taps want acid gel and a wait, and it is reliably the slowest job in the bathroom.
Move outs
The fixed price move out clean runs from £156 for a studio up to £425 for four bedrooms, with the oven as an extra. The figure agreed on the phone is the one you pay, and that holds for the family houses here coming to the end of a long let, which often need more time than their size would suggest.
Getting here
Kenton sits on the same Bakerloo run as North Wembley and South Kenton, so a cleaner without a van gets up here easily enough, and we come across from Preston on the same round. What we charge does not shift across the boundary, and the contact page has the hours.
Questions we get asked
Do you cover the Harrow side of Kenton?
Yes, both sides of the boundary. The postcode is HA3 either way and the price list is the same on both. We do check which council the street sits under before booking, because the parking rules differ.
How much is a cleaner in Kenton?
£23 per cleaner per hour on a weekly visit and £24 fortnightly. Three hours a week is £69, which gives your cleaner time to get round the whole home. There is no contract.
Can you do a move out clean and the carpets on the same day?
Yes, and that is the usual booking. The move out clean is fixed on bedroom count and carpets go on top by room, cheaper than a carpet-only visit: £29 a bedroom, £36 a living room and £35 for a flight of stairs.
Can you clean the garage as well?
The floor, yes, once it has been cleared, and it can go on the same visit as the rest of the house.
Or ring 020 8077 3609. We answer seven days a week.
