Regular housework in Wembley is charged per cleaner per hour: £23 weekly, £24 fortnightly. Three hours a week comes to £69. The same cleaner comes back to your house wherever the rota allows it. There is nothing to sign, because Monster Cleaning Wembley would rather people stayed by choice than by contract.
The rates
| Frequency | Rate per cleaner, per hour | Three hour visit |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | £23 | £69 |
| Fortnightly | £24 | £72 |
Four hours weekly is £92. Three hours is the shortest visit we send anyone out for, since anything less and the travelling eats into the cleaning. The £67 minimum that applies to one off work does not apply to regular visits, so the smallest weekly slot is simply the three hours at £69.
What three hours gets through
Kitchen surfaces, the sink, the hob and the fronts of the units. Both bathrooms if there are two, which in a 1930s semi with a shower room added upstairs there usually are. Floors hoovered and mopped, dusting, bins out, beds changed if you leave the linen on the end. Three hours goes quickly, so if your house needs longer we say so at the booking and size the visit to match.
Ironing, if you want it
£12 an hour, added on top of your cleaning hours, so three hours of housework plus an hour at the board makes a four hour visit and the cleaning loses nothing. Mention it when you book so the extra hour is in the diary before the cleaner arrives.
Limescale is the standing job
Wembley’s water is very hard and it shows on the shower screen first, then the taps, then the kettle element. Weekly, it stays at a wipe. Leave it a month and it wants acid gel and a wait. That is most of the reason people here move from fortnightly to weekly after a couple of months.
Getting in when nobody is home
Most of our regulars leave a key with us or fit a key safe by the door. Keys come back the same week if you stop the service. In the shared houses across HA0 the key safe usually belongs to the letting agent rather than the tenant and the code changes when a room changes hands, so we get it from the agent when the job is booked instead of standing outside ringing the office. In the managed blocks north of the stadium you sign us in at the desk once and that covers it from then on.
Brent has one of the largest private rented sectors in London, so a good share of our regular houses are managed by an agent rather than owned by the person living in them. The clean is identical either way. All it changes is who we ring when a key stops turning.
Adding an oven or the carpets
Two jobs have price lists of their own and can join your regular morning: the inside of the oven, £77 for a single on the oven list, and machine-cleaned carpets at £36 a bedroom on the carpet list. Booked that way, each gets its own time and the housework keeps all three hours. Under the beds gets hoovered wherever a nozzle fits.
Three hours, four or five
Three hours at £69 is the starting point, enough for a one bedroom flat with time left over, and the usual booking for a three bedroom semi and covers the kitchen, two bathrooms and the floors without anybody rushing. Four at £92 is what a house with a rear extension and a loft conversion actually needs, because both of those add rooms that the original three hours were never costed for. We will tell you which of the three fits once you say how many bathrooms there are. Bathroom count moves the hours further than bedroom count does in water this hard.
An extra hour to start with
One more hour on the first visit clears whatever backlog a house has built up, so the cleaner gets right through the bathrooms as well as the kitchen. From the second visit on it settles into the regular slot.
Who turns up
The same cleaner, week after week, because somebody who has cleaned your kitchen twenty times is quicker at it than somebody meeting it cold. The tenth visit to a kitchen already known takes noticeably less time than the second. Holidays and sickness happen anyway. When they do we ring the day before and offer either a cover cleaner or a moved visit, and you pick.
Where the one off deep clean sits
Different service, different price. A one off deep clean is a team of two at £26 per cleaner per hour with a £30 kit charge, from £186, and it is for a property that needs bringing back. The weekly visit keeps a house level once it is already there. Put one cleaner on a team’s job for three hours and both services end up looking bad. If you are handing keys over, the fixed price move out clean is the one you want.
Where the regular work is
Most of it sits in the interwar streets, up around Preston Road and across into Kenton where the borough boundary cuts through. Ovens and carpets get added to a regular slot often enough that we leave room for them when the visit is planned, and the rest of what we charge is on the prices page.
Questions we get asked
How much is a weekly cleaner in Wembley?
£23 per cleaner per hour weekly and £24 fortnightly. Three hours a week, the shortest visit, comes to £69, and four hours to £92. That covers the cleaner, the machines and the materials, and nothing else is added on.
Do I need to supply anything?
No. We bring our own machines and materials. If you would rather we used yours, say so, and plenty of people do, usually because of an allergy or a stone worktop that hates anything acidic.
Is there a minimum booking?
No minimum charge on regular work, unlike one off jobs where the £67 minimum applies. A visit is three hours at the least, because under that the travelling costs more than the cleaning.
Can I have ironing done as well?
Yes, at £12 an hour, added on top of the cleaning hours so the housework keeps its full time. Tell us when you book so the slot is the right length.
Can I have the same cleaner every week?
That is how we set it up in the first place. Cover only comes in for holidays and sickness, and we ring the day before to offer either a cover cleaner or a moved visit rather than sending a stranger unannounced.
Is a weekend visit the same price?
Yes. Saturday and Sunday are charged exactly as a Tuesday is. We work seven days, 8am to 7pm, all at the one rate.
Or ring 020 8077 3609. We answer seven days a week.
