Monster Cleaning Wembley takes five jobs and stops there. Move out cleans, carpets, ovens, housework by the hour, and one off deep cleans run by a team. Each one has a published figure, and you get that figure on the phone before the van is booked. Nobody comes out to survey first.

The prices at a glance

Service Starts at How it is counted
End of tenancy clean £156 Bedrooms, up to £425 for four. Oven and carpets priced on top
Carpet cleaning £36 a room Rooms and stair flights, £41 a flight, £67 floor on one off work
Oven cleaning £77 Appliances: double £110, 90cm range £143, two oven AGA £143
Regular housework £23 an hour Cleaner hours, £24 fortnightly, three hour minimum visit
One off deep clean £186 Team hours at £26 each, two cleaners over three hours, plus £30 kit

Moving out: count the bedrooms

£156 studio, £207 one bedroom, £243 two, £339 three, £425 four. The clock has nothing to do with it. What decides a move out clean is an inventory clerk working through a photographed check-in report, and that report does not care whether we finished at two or at six, so the price cannot either. Cupboards get emptied and done on both faces, the bathroom goes back through the scale, door tops and skirtings get an arm behind them, and the floors wait until the kit is packed. The oven sits outside the figure and goes on for £31. Ring inside 48 hours if the clerk queries something we cleaned and we come back for it.

Carpets: rooms, flights and rugs

Bedroom £36, living room £43, through lounge £61, stairs £41 a flight, loose rugs £35 up to 3m² or £51 over it. Hot water extraction is the method: heated solution goes into the pile under pressure and comes back out on the same pass, which leaves the room walkable in a couple of hours. We do not offer bonnet pads or dry powder, because both work the top of the pile and the grit that wears a carpet out lives at the bottom of it. Softening and neutralising the rinse comes as standard and it is the reason a pale wool pile here dries clean instead of chalky.

Ovens: a figure per appliance

Single £77, double £110, 90cm range £143, two oven AGA £143, and the in-between single wide oven £114. Anything that unclips comes out, so shelves, trays, runners and the fan cover sit in solution while the cavity and both faces of the door glass get worked by hand at the worktop. It all gets rinsed and neutralised before we pack up and you can put dinner in that evening. Booking the hob (£23 ceramic, £28 gas) or the extractor at £28 on the same visit costs less time than a second trip. An AGA needs shutting down the night before, because a warm one cannot be touched.

Housework: counted in cleaner hours

£23 an hour weekly, £24 fortnightly. Three hours is £69, four is £92 and five is £115, and three is the shortest visit worth the travelling. There is nothing to sign. The same cleaner keeps your address wherever the rota allows, which sounds like a small thing until you watch how much faster the tenth visit runs than the second. Ironing is £12 an hour, booked over and above the cleaning hours, so the housework keeps every minute it had.

Deep cleans: counted in team time

£26 per cleaner per hour, plus £30 for machines and detergents, with two cleaners over three hours as the floor at £186. Four hours with two comes to £238, three cleaners over three hours to £264, and the biggest booking we take is three over six hours at £498. It is what you want after builders, before family arrive, or for a flat that a three hour visit was never going to reset.

Sofas, mattresses and curtains, priced per item

Upholstery is counted by the piece. Two seater sofa £57, armchair £33, mattress £35, dining chair £13, curtains £35 short drop and £42 long. The same extraction machine does it at a lower pressure with more of the water pulled back out, so nothing is left soaked. Ring with the shape and the fabric for a corner unit or a three seater and we will price it on the call. Leather gets a cleaner and a conditioner instead.

The two mix-ups we hear on the phone

Keys going back to an agent means the fixed move out price almost every time, because the job is scored against an inventory rather than against your own list of annoyances. The other one is the weekly visit against the deep clean. An hourly cleaner holds a house level once it is already level, and one person over three hours will not undo a year, which is how people manage to be disappointed in both services at once.

What Wembley adds to all five

Three things, none of which change the price and all of which decide which morning we can offer you. The stadium first. Brent runs special event-day parking controls whenever the ground or the arena is busy, they override the normal residents’ permits, and they cover more streets than most people expect, so an HA9 slot gets checked against the fixture calendar before we confirm it. What comes back is usually an early start or a different day. Second, the lifts: the blocks north of the stadium run on concierge sign-in and timed goods-lift bookings, so give us the block name and we reserve the lift the day before, which keeps the whole slot for cleaning. Third, the water, which Thames Water supplies here at the hard end, so descaling goes into every job rather than being sold as an extra.

A fourth thing affects the deep clean diary alone. Autumn is our peak here rather than December, because demand around Alperton and Sudbury runs well above the rest of the year in the fortnight before Diwali and Navratri. Book three weeks out for that stretch.

One list, six areas

The same figures hold in Tokyngton, Preston, North Wembley, Sudbury, Alperton and Kenton, and the bill reads the same in HA9, HA0 or HA3. The areas page sets out the postcode and the awkward bit for each one. Every figure on this page, plus the £67 one off minimum, is on the prices page. Ring 020 8077 3609 and describe the job; the contact page lists what we need to put a number on it during the call.

Questions we get asked

Which service do I need if I am moving out?

The end of tenancy clean, fixed on the size of the property from £156 for a studio to £425 for four bedrooms. It is written against the inventory the clerk checks, and it leaves out the oven. Add that for £31, and carpets on the same visit from £29 a bedroom.

Can I book two of these on the same visit?

Yes, and it usually works out cheaper. The oven shelves can be soaking while the bedroom carpet is being done, so a £77 oven and a £36 bedroom carpet on one morning take barely longer than either alone, and the £67 minimum gets cleared once.

Is an evening or a weekend slot the same price?

Yes. We work 8am to 7pm seven days and a Sunday costs what a Tuesday costs. One list covers the whole round too, so a job in Kenton comes to the same as one two streets from the stadium.

How quickly can you come out?

Two or three days for most jobs. Month end is the tight window for move out cleans, when check-outs bunch, and the fortnight before Diwali is the tight one for deep cleans. Ovens and carpets often go in at a day’s notice if there is a gap on the round.

Do you clean sofas and mattresses?

Yes, priced per item rather than per room: a two seater sofa is £57, an armchair £33, a mattress £35 and a dining chair £13. Curtains are £35 for a short drop and £42 for a long one. Larger sofas get a figure on the phone.
