What the kit charge buys
Machines and chemicals for the visit. An extraction machine if carpets are in the booking, a steamer for grout and hobs, acid descaler for the bathroom, and the pads and cloths that go in the bin at the end of it. Plenty of people would rather we used their own equipment, usually in a flat where the cupboard is already full of it, and the charge comes off in that case.
What a team of two gets through

The order matters as much as the list. Working top down and finishing on the floor is what separates a deep clean from a long tidy, and it is why the team will not let you walk through the kitchen at the end.
The autumn run, and how far ahead to book
Deep cleaning around Alperton and the Sudbury streets peaks in the autumn rather than before Christmas. Diwali and Navratri fall in that window and demand for deep cleans in the fortnight running up to them is the highest of our year outside the summer tenancy season, so the diary for that fortnight is usually full by the first week of October. Ring three weeks ahead if you want a weekend. We turn work away in that stretch most years and it is nobody’s favourite phone call to make. Alperton and Sudbury carry most of that between them.
What a deep clean resets
Everything that is only dirty comes back, and that is nearly always more of the house than people expect: grout steamed, screens and taps descaled, skirtings and door tops wiped down, cupboards cleaned inside.
After building work
Half the semis in HA0 have had the back opened up or the loft converted, and the clean after that is a different animal from a domestic deep clean, because fine plaster dust keeps settling for days and comes back down on every surface after the first pass. We quote those off photographs and we usually want two visits, one when the builders leave and another a few days later once the dust has finished falling. Sofas, mattresses and curtains on the same visit
Upholstery is charged by the piece and sits outside the team hours: £57 a two seater sofa, £33 an armchair, £35 a mattress, £13 a dining chair, and curtains at £35 or £42 depending on the drop. Adding them to a deep clean saves a second visit, because the extraction machine is already on the job. Corner units and three seaters get priced on the call once we know the shape and the fabric.
When a different service is cheaper
If you are handing the keys back, the fixed price move out clean goes on bedroom count and is fixed, £243 for a two bedroom plus £31 where the kitchen wants its oven done too. If you want somebody every week, that is regular housework at £23 per cleaner per hour with no kit charge. And if the oven is the only real problem, the oven on its own is £77. We will say which is cheaper.
Matching the team to the house
